The Greek embassy announces that is not allowed entry by sea and land even for Albanians
 
 The Greek embassy has announced how the move will take place from July 1. The Embassy announces that for flights from Albania to Greece, it is possible to fly to Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens.

While the entry of persons from Albania to Greece through sea, road, or railway lines is not allowed.

According to European guidelines for the opening of EU borders and the respective implementing decisions of Greece (Government Gazette B '2283 / 14.06.2020), regarding the travel from Albania to Greece, is foreseen the possibility of flights to Eleftherios Venizelos airport.

People from Albania are not allowed to enter Greece by sea, road or rail.

Excluded from this rule are: a) Greek citizens, holders of a Special Homogeneous Identity Card, holders of residence permits, as well as persons who have their main residence or who usually reside in Greece, b) passing trucks for the transport of goods, c) the transport of goods by ship, d) the entry of persons through land borders, for absolutely necessary movements of a professional nature, which they prove with the relevant documents.

This regime of movements is expected to continue even after July 1. The Embassy of Greece in Tirana will immediately announce its notification, for any change that may result", it is said in the notification.
